Meet Shenea Booth (Shenea Stiletto)
I’m Shenea Booth — also known to many as Shenea Stiletto — and I’m proud to run for the Nevada State Assembly as a District 22 resident. I’m stepping into this race to represent the Green Valley Community and to ensure our voices, our needs, and our local values are prioritized in Carson City.
My life has been shaped by circus, athletics, advocacy, and my deep love for Nevada, and I am ready to bring that dynamic perspective to the people’s house.
A Life in Circus and Sport
I have lived a life defined by artistry, athleticism, and hard work. As a world champion acrobatic gymnast and a proud inductee into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, I’ve experienced firsthand the joy, discipline, and resilience that comes from dedicating yourself to excellence. My career has taken me across the globe, performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and proving what becomes possible when passion, mastery, and purpose align.
An Advocate for Circus and Workers
As the founder of the Circus Arts Guild of America, I’ve fought to give circus artists, gymnasts, and performing workers a voice in policymaking. My advocacy has taken me from Las Vegas stages to Washington, D.C., where I’ve met with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to push for legislation like the SaferSport Bill, Circus Arts Category Recognition Act, the Circus Workers Act, and the SafeArt/SafeCircus Act. These bills fight for fair wages, worker protections, recognition, and safety — values I believe should extend to every Nevadan.
Rooted in Nevada, Connected to the World
My life has been nothing if not dynamic. My family has had roots in Nevada for decades—my grandparents retired here, and as a child, my parents brought us to Las Vegas for vacations through timeshares. I began competing in gymnastics here at a young age, and later returned professionally as a circus artist. I came to Nevada seeking opportunity, drawn to the spirit of reinvention that defines this place, and over time, it became my home—not just for my career, but for my future.
I’ve watched Las Vegas grow from a city relying almost entirely on tourism into a community where more families can build stable lives. During challenging economic periods, including the pandemic, it was Nevada that helped me return to work and rebuild. I know how far we’ve come—and how far we still need to go.
To secure Nevada’s future, we must continue diversifying our economy in ways that create opportunity without leaving behind the people who already call this home. When new industries invest here, their success should go hand in hand with the prosperity of Nevada’s local workforce and families. With the right policy, we can build a future where innovation thrives and Nevadans rise with it. Sustainability, opportunity, and community well-being must lead the next chapter for Las Vegas.

Why I’m Running
I am a world champion acrobatic gymnast, a member of the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and a lifelong circus artist who proudly calls Las Vegas home. As the founder of the Circus Arts Guild of America, I’ve brought the voices of circus and performing artists all the way to the White House, advocating for landmark legislation that protects and empowers our industry. Now, I’m running as your candidate for the Nevada State Assembly to fight for workers, uplift families, and help build a stronger, more diverse economy for Nevada.
District 22 deserves a representative who understands local challenges and can act on them at the state level. I’m running to ensure our community has a strong voice in the Nevada Legislature—one that champions economic diversification, safer working conditions, access to quality healthcare, improved education resources, and support for local businesses and families. My commitment is to serve District 22 with honesty, resilience, and a results-driven approach that strengthens Nevada from the ground up.
“ Las Vegas is more than just a destination — it’s our home. And I will fight to make sure it’s a place where families can thrive, workers are protected, and our economy continues to grow in ways that reflect our diverse strengths.
I’m running as community- focused voice for Nevada because I know how to fight — I’ve fought for athletes, for artists, for workers, and as a survivor, I’ve fought for myself. I bring with me the discipline of a champion, the creativity of an artist, the grit of a worker, and the vision of someone who knows both Nevada’s past and its potential.”
